How It All Began
My love for cooking and baking was born the first day I watched Ina Garten cook on her food network show called BAREFOOT CONTESSA over 10 years ago. I am like a kid in a candy store whenever I am in the kitchen trying out newly discovered recipes.
I respect the art and the science of baking and I cherish the ingredients and the techniques used in creating well-made pastries/desserts.
My Passion For Cake Decorating Was Born
I never thought I would be baking cakes for a living until I was asked to make a cake for one of my husband’s colleague.
Even though I hadn’t decorated a cake for sale before, I loved the challenge and that is where the passion for baking & decorating cakes began.
Having discovered that this is what I would love to do full time, I started teaching myself the techniques involved and perfecting the art & science. Today, Nookies has catered to dozens of happy cake lovers and I have been privileged to work with some awesome brides for their perfect wedding cakes.

And it is my pleasure to be fully responsible for every wedding cake order that gets booked with me. I am personally involved in every process from the baking, decorating, delivering and the setting up of every wedding cake.
I take limited bookings of wedding cakes per month just because I would rather work on one perfect cake per week than work on dozens of sub-standard cakes. So, you can be rest assured that your wedding cake will get my utmost attention.
