We all love royal weddings that’s why we were all super excited at the wedding announcement of Hollywood sweetheart Meghan Markle & British prince Harry.
I was blown away by Meghan’s simplicity, the choice of the wedding flowers, pictures of her walking into the St. George’s chapel in Windsor castle in her beautiful yet simple Givenchy haute couture by Claire Waight Keller & of course, in her reception dress by Stella Mccartney.
I was most of all excited to see the wedding cake which was totally different from the usual royal wedding cake custom.
Traditionally, royal weddings serve fruit cakes to their guests & I was thrilled when Meghan decided to waive this standard & opted for a lemon & elderflower buttercream cake by pastry chef Claire Ptak & her team.
This cake was a refreshing sight because it just shows that nothing is set in stone & you can break all the rules for your big day.
