Incorporating your personal style into your wedding cake is a great way to showcase your style on your wedding day.
Your personal style is that one thing that’s part of who you are. It influences how you dress, live life & how you carry yourself.
I personally love all things blush & muted colours & I have incorporated that palette into my style of clothes & even the design of my website.
No matter what style you chose to rock, its good to know that it can be incorporated into every aspect of your life including your wedding cake. One of the questions I ask my brides (and grooms) during a cake tasting/consultation is what is that one thing that describes your style & how can we help you show that off on your wedding cake.
I have put together some of the different styles & how they can be incorporated into your wedding cake. If you would like to know how, read on.
Soft textures, muted colours, soft pinks & light blues. These are brides who have a flair for the romantic. To showcase this style, I make sure each cake tier has my signature sharp edge with clean lines to show off the blush colours & the sugar flowers. For flavours combinations, Madagascan vanilla cake, pink velvet or my coconut sponge cake would pair beautifully.
Bold & Edgy
Some brides have a style that’s bold & edgy. They like geometric shapes, bold colours & shapes like rectangle & hexagonal. They also love colours like gold, grey, & deep tones. I help those brides showcase their style with geometric shapes & patterns on their cake finished with clean lines & sharp edges.
Some brides love bright tones like yellows & bright pink. Adding a beautiful spray of colourful flowers & flavours like red velvet & white chocolate & blueberries would show off this style perfectly.
Fifty Shades Of Dark
Brides who love dark tones like black & deep blues can incorporate this style by choosing a neutral dark tone as the primary cake colour then enhance it with lots of gold details. Delicious flavours like chocolate fudge, black forest & red velvet would pair perfectly.
Neural colours like white, nudes with a touch of silver is what makes up this style. A beautiful all white cake with elegant soft toned decorations paired with flavours like my fruit cake with citrus essence, white chocolate & raspberry & lemon cake would showcase this style beautifully.
